Sound masking increases productivity and confidentiality by introducing a comfortablebackground sound that makes unwanted noises and conversations more difficult - or impossible - to hear and comprehend.

Sound masking can also reduce construction costs and, by eliminating the need for deck-to-deck partitions and increasing the comfort of open plans, helps to preserve your facility's flexibility.   Typically, a sound masking system will simultaneously provide paging and music distribution.

From the manufacturer of the Scamp® Sound Masking System comes the LogisonTM Acoustic Network: the first and only sound masking, paging and music system to provide full control ofindividual speaker settings from a central location.

The Network offers the highest level of component integration in the industry. Each hubcontains a random masking sound generator, amplifier and even independent  volume andequalizer controls for masking and paging, eliminating the need for most centralized audio equipment. Timer and paging zones, volume and equalizer settings, and paging channel selection are configured through a centrally-located control panel or remotely with userfriendly LogiSon PC Software.

This digital control and accuracy, combined with small zone sizes and one-third octaveequalization capabilities, allows you to custom tune the Network to suit the uniquerequirements of the space, increasing the masking’s effectiveness.

And, as you needs change, the Network can be completely re-adjusted without rewiring orrequiring access to the ceiling.

Model NCP-1

The Network Control Panel allows the user to program all Network functions from a central location. Commands can be sent to one, a group or all Primary Hubs on the Network. The Primary Hub controls the output of the loudspeaker attached to it and that of the loudspeakers attached to the Secondary Hubs.

Network settings, such as volume and equalizer levels for masking and paging, timer and paging zones, timer schedules, and paging channel selection can be easily and conveniently established, reviewed or changed without entering the plenum space. The Network uses non-volatile memory so that settings are preserved in the event of a power failure. Settings can also be printed for diagnostic and record-keeping purposes.

The Control Panel is the Network’s only centralized component. It provides the control, flexibility and functionality of numerous rack-mounted components, reducing costs, energy requirements and the space needed for equipment. If timer and paging / music functions are not required, the Control Panel can be used to tune the sound masking and then removed. If changes or additions need to be made at a later date, a Control Panel can be re-connected to the Network.

Zoning

The Control Panel enables the user to establish independent paging and timer zones. Individual hubs are selected and assigned to a group (or zone), which is then named and given characteristics. Each Control Panel provides 3 paging zones, as well as an “off” zone, and 9 timer zones, in addition to an “off” zone. There are no restrictions on the size of the zones and the zones can be non-contiguous.
